Your Answer:
When students have a visual example it clarifies new concepts better for them. Graphic displays make concepts seem more concrete to the students. These graphic tools help keep students attention as well as let the students give immediate feedback to create motivation practice. Graphic tools allow students to practice skills they will need to use in work situations.

One method teachers use to assess the outcome is to use written test to assess skill achievement outcomes. Another is to use evaluation criteria checklists to assess complex tasks or products. The third method is to use rubrics to assess complex tasks or products. The last method is to use Likert scale-type surveys or semantic differentials to assess attitude outcomes.

Describe two advantages of required school and district policies such as policies regarding Internet use, legal and ethical use, and equity.
Your Answer:
One advantage is the policy of schools to require students to use the computer and internet properly. This is in place so the students don’t get approached by internet predators. The policy that schools are responsible for ensuring equitable access to the computers helps the students who maybe underrepresented or underserved.

The invention of the microcomputers and the invention of the world wide web. The microcomputers enable teachers and the schools to have more control instead of the companies, universities and school districts. This also led to the publishing of software catered for teachers. The invention of the world wide web helped by giving a person the ablity to get a great deal of information at one time. People could now get onto the web and get information at one spot.

One emerging trend in technology is wireless connectivity. The effect it has in schools is that makes it possible to connect to the internet from anywhere in the school. Allowing teacher to access information more quickly.

Your Answer:
An electronic portfolio has options of an pre-made software packages. So it allows teachers to beable to use these options instead of having to create a personal structure. Electronic portfolios allow for easier storages and sharing with others. Electronic portfolios also allow the use of videos and other types of media to be presented such as a powerpoint. It can also be posted on the web for easier access to others.

My first blog

My name is Naomi, i am a sophomore at Lock Haven University. I am a Elemetary major, and i believe that i am going to minor in Special Ed. however i am not sure yet. I grew up here in Lock Haven, i went to school at Central Mountain.
The only technology i am familiar with is bascially microsoft word. I can use a Dvd player, a computer, Televisions, overhead projectors, and CD players. However I only have general knowledge on how to use all of these devices. I can not use them to the full extent possible.
In this class i hope to get a better knowledge of the devices i already know how to use. I would also like to become familiar with the smartboards. I hope to gain more information on how to better use the resources that are available to me. I also hope to become more knowledgeable on how to use the internet to my advantage in the class room.
